YAC September 2023 Meeting

The Youth Advisory Council’s September 27th meeting focused on the topic of Climate Change and Money in Politics. Through the four bills that the Council discussed, many topics were discussed, such as school rooftop gardens in low socioeconomic areas, clean energy microgrids, transparency of expenditures within businesses, and more. Before discussing these bills, there was a presentation from Joey Apodaca, the District Deputy Director and Senior Field Representative for Congressman Lieu, regarding the congressional casework and fieldwork he does in his job as well as the Congressman’s work on climate change legislation.
